The idea is to put them in positions that would keep them secure while also offering the best vantage points for aiming and shooting at the zombies. It is a good idea to keep the recruits moving around these spots though you have to be wary that whenever they are moving, they are not shooting. The game's controls are simple with tapping on a recruit selects him for any medical help or upgrade. You can also move the recruit by double tapping on the spot where you want him to move. The spots available can also be upgraded and these provide a boost to the recruit present in that position as well.
Zombie Defense gameplay has multiple facets that makes it so interesting. There aren't just waves upon waves of zombies to fend off, you will also have some waves where boss zombies would also attack and they are definitely very hard to kill. You can use special bombardment options in these circumstances to exact maximum damage while also ensuring that your recruits don't get hit. You can also enable shielding options that would ensure that your recruits don't get hurt too much in an intense wave of zombie attacks as the shield would provide them momentary heightened defense skills at the very least.

The zombie game also offers a vast variety of weapons that you can hand to your recruit so that he can use them as best possible. There are multiple types of guns available with each having its own damage and reload rating. There are also bombs available that can be thrown by the military officers in order to ensure that the zombies are killed in huge numbers.
